MBA or Business Certificate?

I graduated almost a year ago with a fine arts degree, but I've always felt like a business education would be more "marketable." I'm torn between trying to get into a grad school to get an MBA, or taking advantage of a business program through my Alma Matter (a very credible school) to get a "certificate in applied business." The second option is pretty expensive ($3,000 for a month of classes) versus MBA grad school costs, and I'm pretty much living off my parents at the moment. Do you think one program seems better than the other? Which one would help me out the best while I try to enter the corporate world?
