In Australia, why don't we have a Minister for Men?
The Commonwealth Government has a Minister for the Status of Women; New South Wales shuns that verbiage and simply calls it a Minister for Women; Victoria has its Minister for Women’s Affairs; Queensland has a Minister for Justice and Women; Western Australia has a Minister for Women’s Interests; South Australia has a Minister for the Status of Women; the ACT has a Minister for Women and the Northern Territory has a Minister for Women’s Policy. Aside from exclaiming “God Bless Tasmania!” in a loud voice, this leads me to a very simple conclusion: our political class exhibits a very strong bias in favour of women at the expense of men.
