I did not get accepted into the graduate program at my Alma-mater, what should i do?

It's common for schools to not accept their undergrads into their graduate program - it's highly discouraged in many fields, seen as 'academic incest'. They should have told you to apply elsewhere, and to more than two schools. Many grad student apply to 10 or more.
